Abstract

God Almighty did not create creation in vain, but rather He created them to know Him and worship Him. This requires the existence of a creature who will be with creation from its beginning to its last day, who will be with them. He guides them and directs them as a successor to God on earth. And to complete God’s conclusive proof to creation, the earth will not be devoid of him, so the purpose will be negated, as stated in the hadith: And the earth will not be devoid of him. The earth is not devoid of God’s proof, whether apparent and well-known or hidden and concealed. Were it not for that, God would not be worshipped. Research into the relationship between creation and this proof was one of the most important researches and demands that elevate humanity to the desired happiness. The proof is apparent and widespread. It may be hidden and concealed for reasons and wisdoms , as happened to Imam al-Kadhim during his long period of imprisonment, and what happened during the occultation for the awaited Imam. Here we discussed the reasons for the occultation the two Imams , the preliminary relationship between them, the ways to escape from the great responsibility and the calamity descending from heaven due to the nation’s negligence, then reaching the most important functions of imposing the occultation to direct Divine Mercy to His creation and to bring about His kindness by hastening the relief and the presence of the Imam among his subjects.
